Overview

This beautifully crafted period drama weaves a historical romance with a moral dilemma. In 1930s Paris, talented pianist Francois falls for Rachel, his older Jewish piano teacher who champions his career. As their romance blossoms, the shadow of the Nazi invasion looms, and Francois faces impossible choices.

Shifting between pre- and post-war eras, the film is a haunting, emotionally resonant story of love, conscience, and survival that lingers long after the final note.
