Overview

Can a pastrami sandwich heal history?

Adam Fried, a divorced Jewish father from Chicago, thinks so. Determined not to abandon his German-born daughter as his own father once abandoned him, he leaves behind a thriving life in the U.S. and moves to a small German town near the former Flossenbürg Concentration Camp in Bavaria. Walking streets marked by Holocaust memorial stones with his daughter and his aging bulldog, Adam reconnects with his faith and family, sparking a bold idea: opening a Jewish deli in the very same area where Kristallnacht erupted.

Everything’s Kosher is a heartwarming and surprising documentary about love, resilience, and memory—one pastrami sandwich at a time.
