  • Since October 7, virulent antisemitism has erupted in America on college campuses, social media and in the streets. In October H8te, Executive Producer Debra Messing and Director Wendy Sachs present a powerful exploration of what this antisemitism looks like and how very dangerous it is – not just to Israel, but to the United States as well. The film includes interviews with students, academics and well-known individuals including Mosab Yosef (son of Hamas’s co-founder), Deborah Lipstadt, Dan Senor, US Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, Noa Tishby and Sheryl Sandberg.

Followed by a discussion with Sarah Kader.

Sarah Kader is the Deputy Regional Director for the Anti-Defamation League of Arizona where she has worked since October, 2022. In that capacity, she responds to anti-Semitic and racist incidents in Arizona and works on policy goals with the state legislature.

Prior to working for ADL, Kader spent a decade as an attorney advocating for the rights of marginalized people, first at Community Legal Services and the Arizona Justice Project, then at the Arizona Center for Disability Law. Kader is also the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors.
